Statue and columns are put up on diverse occasions; they can mostly be found in the Park of the Statues, north of the center of the city. A tooltip indicates the occasion this particular statue was raised for. Most statues come in three versions and are awarded according to the ranking position (in a tournament, for example). Statues also increase the value of the city (see The Contest Between Cities).

Capital	At the end of the game period, the three cities with the highest culture value receive this statue for the following game period. (1st place = gold - 2nd place = silver - 3rd place = bronze)
City of Defenders	This statue is awarded to the three cities that most successfully prevailed against the barbarians.
City of Champions	This statue goes to the three cities whose players came off best during the Tournament Days.
City of Riddle Masters	The three cities with the best riddle solvers of the game period receive this statue.
City of Dice Masters	This statue is given to the three cities with the best Dice Game players of the game period.
COW City Championship	This statue is awarded for the winners of the COW City Championship. The tournament is organized via the forum (unofficial user tournament).
Catan Card Game Tournament	This statue is awarded for unofficial Card Game Tournaments (unofficial tournaments).
COW Decathlon	This statue is awarded for the winners of the COW Decathlon (unofficial tournaments).
Riddle Statue	The winners (places 1-3) of the last Riddle Tournament each receive the respective statue.  In addition, gold is awarded for the first 3 places: 100 for the victorious city, 65 for the 2nd place, and 50 for the 3rd place. The victorious city organizes the next riddle tournament. Riddle Tournaments are carried out on the forum every six months.
Barbarian Attack	If the city defeats the barbarians, this statue is erected to commemorate the victory.
