Catan Marathon June 25 - 28, 2010 |

On Friday, June 25 at 10 am CET the Catan Marathon of the current game period starts. During this three-day tournament weekend, each day a different type of scenario is played; the number of players is no longer fixed, and the participants may play as many times as desired (further information here).
As a result of our recent poll, the following scenarios will be played:
Day 1: The Fog Islands
Day 2: Desert Riders
Day 3: The Great Canal
The Catan Marathon ends on Monday, June 28 at 10 am CET.

Replacing faulty COW installer for Mac and Linux |

Effective immediately, the COW client V3-1.680 replaces the older version 3-1.657 for Mac OS X and Linux.
Using the English client frequently resulted in a rather slow program startup compared to the German version. Under certain adverse conditions this could even lead to the point that the client refused to start up, showing a Java related error message.
Unfortunately, at this time the affected faulty files can not be replaced by the automatic update procedure. Especially players using the English client version should by all means download and install the new program version.

Update: Archive for Barbarossa Riddle |

Up to now, in the Catan Online World only the current Monthly List for the Barbarossa Riddle could be viewed. With immediate effect, the past monthly scores of the players are available too, via the "Archive" in the Assembly Hall, which is where you can also find the past monthly scores for the Dice Game. However, you can only view the charts for the Barbarossa Riddle starting in April 2010 because no archive existed for it so far. |

Catan Online World - New versions for Mac OS X and Linux |

As of today, the new program version 3-1.657 for Mac OS X and Linux is available for free download.
It is mainly meant for new installations: If you have a fully functional version on your Mac or Linux computer already, it is up-to-date through the auto update process anyway. So there is no need to uninstall your current program version and to install the new one.
So this new version is rather a "convenience update" which greatly simplifies the primary installation for new players.

Goldbach has made it - after a close fight with World Village, it managed to reach the top position in the ranking list for the Capital of Catan. And despite a notably lower score, Steinfurt was able to secure third place. We extend our sincere congratulations to all three cities on their achievement.
